Our Approach to Therapy
Before birth
we treat typical Conditions such as back and pelvic pain, promote your mobility, and prepare you for delivery with breathing and posture training. osteopathy and Physiotherapy work hand in hand here: gentle manual therapy where your body is under tension, and targeted strengthening where it needs stability.
After birth
postpartum recovery begins, and we have dedicated treatments for this: personalized postpartum rehabilitation, one-on-one instead of in a group class. The transition is seamless, often with the same therapists who already supported you during pregnancy. Read more about this in our article on rectus diastasis after pregnancy.
Pelvic pain, SI joint and lower back
More than half of all pregnant women experience pain in their lower back or pelvis. Often, the sacroiliac joint is behind it, or si joint for short, the connection between the sacrum and the pelvis. Pregnancy hormones soften ligaments and tissue, while your growing belly shifts your center of gravity forward. The si joint loses stability and responds with pain that can radiate into your buttocks or leg, similar to sciatica. We treat these Conditions with gentle manual and osteopathic techniques, stabilize with targeted exercises, and show you strategies for everyday life, sleeping positions, and work. In the case of severe, sudden, or persistent pain, we will clarify together whether a medical examination makes sense. You can read more about hip and pelvic pain during pregnancy on our page about hip pain.
Elevate your prenatal wellness with professional lymphatic drainage
By the end of the day, your legs feel heavy and your ankles are swollen: a sensation many moms-to-be know all too well. Your growing baby presses on the blood and lymph vessels in the pelvic area, slowing down the removal of tissue fluid. Manual lymphatic drainage is here to support you: it activates lymph flow, can reduce water retention, and gives many women noticeably lighter legs. Combine it with moderate walks and staying well-hydrated. Learn more on our Manual Lymphatic Drainage page.
