7 years of empowering your fitness and movement journey
Who is Emilia Niggli
Physical Therapist at BodyLab
It all started for me in training. I've been teaching group fitness since 2018, and since 2020 I've been working as a personal trainer, including at the ASVZ in front of groups of up to 80 people. At some point, I wanted to understand more deeply what happens in the body when movement no longer functions. That's why I studied physiotherapy, complementing my knowledge of sports and training with anatomy, pathology, and clinical patterns. I am particularly fascinated by the detective-like process of diagnostics: observing closely, testing targetedly, and deriving a therapy strategy that perfectly fits you. At BodyLab in Zurich Altstetten, I found exactly the environment I was looking for. Holistic, interdisciplinary, and vibrant—bringing active movement, passive measures, and the team's osteopathic perspective all under one roof.
My philosophy: you will become the ultimate expert on your own body
Therapy should empower you to be independent, not bound to appointments. That’s why I provide you with the tools to take charge of your own health, while explaining exactly what is happening in your body and why each exercise works. Your needs and goals are the absolute focus. Together, we will build powerful strategies that you can carry forward long after your therapy is complete. For me, two things go hand in hand: elite-level physiotherapeutic treatment and precise, science-backed information. Knowing and leveraging my own resources has been a game-changer in my athletic career. This is exactly what I want to pass on to you, so you can confidently read and master your own body.

Education & Studies
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from ZHAW in 2026. Throughout my studies, I guided a diverse range of patients across four clinical internships: orthopedic rehabilitation following knee, hip, and shoulder surgeries at See-Spital Horgen; geriatrics at the Zurich Health Center for the Elderly; pediatric neuro-orthopedic rehab at Kinder-Reha Schweiz; and musculoskeletal diagnostics at a private practice in Zurich Witikon. Alongside this, I have spent years working as a fitness trainer. I bring this powerful combination of clinical expertise and hands-on training experience to every single treatment session at BodyLab in Zurich Altstetten. My next big milestones are advanced training in sports physiotherapy and manual therapy.
