Der Schweizerische Verband der Osteopathen (SVO-FSO) ist die Dachorganisation der Osteopathinnen und Osteopathen in der Schweiz.
Er wurde 2005 als Zusammenschluss mehrerer bestehender Berufsverbände gegründet, die eine einheitliche Vertretung des Osteopathieberufs anstrebten. Der SVO-FSO hat sich in der Schweiz auf politischer und administrativer Ebene als Hauptansprechpartner für osteopathische Fragen etablieren können.
Der SVO-FSO hat heute über 700 Mitglieder und ist ein Verein im Sinne von Art. 60ff des Schweizerischen Zivilgesetzbuchs und verfolgt als Berufsverband die Ziele dieses Berufsstandes in der Schweiz.
Der SVO ist ein Mitglied der Osteopathic International Alliance (OIA).
physioswiss ist der Schweizer Berufsverband für selbständige, angestellte und studierende PhysiotherapeutInnen. Er umfasst knapp 9’600 Mitglieder, die in 16 Kantonalverbänden organisiert sind.
physioswiss garantiert eine hohe Qualität der physiotherapeutischen Leistungen. Der Verband engagiert sich in den Bereichen Aus- und Weiterbildung, Forschung und Ethik.
physioswiss versteht sich als dienstleistungsorientierter Berufsverband für seine Mitglieder und fördert und unterstützt diese über die gesamte Berufslaufbahn. Dadurch fördert physioswiss die Entwicklung der Profession Physiotherapie und sorgt für die Autonomie sowie Professionalisierung in allen Tätigkeitsbereichen von PhysiotherapeutInnen.
physioswiss setzt sich auch für eine bedarfsorientierte Versorgungssicherheit der Bevölkerung durch Physiotherapie ein und bezieht dabei die Dimensionen Gesundheits-, Bildungs- und Finanzpolitik ein.
Seit 1999 leistet das EMR in Zusammenarbeit mit Berufsverbänden, Schulen, Versicherern und anderen Institutionen einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Qualitätssicherung in der Erfahrungsmedizin in der Schweiz.
Anhand einer Vielzahl von definierten Qualitätskriterien wie zum Beispiel Ausbildung, praktische Erfahrung und kontinuierliche Fort- und Weiterbildung überprüft das EMR erfahrungsmedizinisch tätige Therapeutinnen und Therapeuten.
Nur Therapeuten, die alle Qualitätskriterien erfüllen, erhalten das EMR-Qualitätslabel.
Im Bereich EMR Public und unter Das EMR sowie unter Infocorner können Sie sich über das EMR-Qualitätslabel informieren und Beschreibungen einzelner Therapiemethoden lesen. Darüber hinaus haben Sie die Möglichkeit, mit Hilfe des EMindex einen passenden Therapeuten zu suchen.
Das Schweizerische Rote Kreuz (SRK) ist eine Hilfsorganisation, die sich auszeichnet durch die Grundsätze ihres Handelns, ihre lange Erfahrung, die Breite ihres Wirkens, die Einbettung in eine weltweite Bewegung.
Das Schweizerische Rote Kreuz vereinigt wie kein anderes Hilfswerk eine Vielfalt von Stärken in den Bereichen Gesundheit, Integration und Rettung unter einem Dach. Das SRK umfasst 24 Kantonalverbände und fünf Rettungsorganisationen, zwei Institutionen sowie die Geschäftsstelle SRK.
Das SRK ist auch zuständig für die Abklärung und Anerkennung ausländischer Diplome in Gesundheitsberufen.
Das SRK ist ein privatrechtlicher Verein gemäss Schweizerischem Zivilgesetzbuch.
Die European Fascial Distortion Model Association (EFDMA) ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, welcher die Förderung der Forschung und Lehre auf dem Gebiet des Fasziendistorsionsmodells (FDM) und der Typaldos-Methode zum Ziel hat.
Die EFDMA setzt unter anderem Standards für die Verbreitung des Fasziendistorsionsmodells (FDM) in Europa und bietet medizinischen Fachkräften und Patienten Informationen über das FDM, über seine Grundlagen und deren Umsetzung in der Behandlung von verschiedensten Beschwerdebildern.
Heute zählt der Verein bald 700 Mitglieder in Deutschland, Österreich, Italien, Polen, Luxemburg, Schweiz, Niederlande, Belgien, Russland, Ungarn und Norwegen.

Center for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy (CEBT)
The Centre of Evidence-Based Physiotherapy (CEBP) was established in 1999 by a small group of clinical and academic physiotherapists. It is produced by Musculoskeletal Health Sydney, School of Public Health at the University of Sydney and is hosted by Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA).
The CEBP’s mission is to maximise the effectiveness of physiotherapy services by facilitating the clinical application of the best available evidence. The CEBP believes that “effective physiotherapy is people-centred, prevention-focused, safe and technically proficient, based on the best evidence available, and managed efficiently”.
The CEBP functions as a non-profit organisation to facilitate physiotherapy research and implementation of effective physiotherapy.
The CEBP’s flagship is the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) along with Physiotherapy Choices (the consumer interface for PEDro).
The Health On the Net Foundation (HON) promotes and guides the deployment of useful and reliable online health information, and its appropriate and efficient use. Created in 1995, HON is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, accredited to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. For 20 years, HON has focused on the essential question of the provision of health information to citizens, information that respects ethical standards. To cope with the unprecedented volume of healthcare information available on the Net, the HONcode of conduct offers a multi-stakeholder consensus on standards to protect citizens from misleading health information.

The International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine (IJOM) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides for the publication of high quality research articles and review papers that are as broad as the many disciplines that influence and underpin the principles and practice of osteopathic medicine. Particular emphasis is given to basic science research, clinical epidemiology and health social science in relation to osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine.
The Editorial Board encourages submission of articles based on both quantitative and qualitative research designs. The Editorial Board also aims to provide a forum for discourse and debate on any aspect of osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine with the aim of critically evaluating existing practices in regard to the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal disorders and somatic dysfunction.

Musculoskeletal Science & Practice, international journal of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, is a peer-reviewed international journal (previously Manual Therapy), publishing high quality original research, review and Masterclass articles that contribute to improving the clinical understanding of appropriate care processes for musculoskeletal disorders. The journal publishes articles that influence or add to the body of evidence on diagnostic and therapeutic processes, patient centered care, guidelines for musculoskeletal therapeutics and theoretical models that support developments in assessment, diagnosis, clinical reasoning and interventions.
Papers published in Musculoskeletal Science & Practice are of international relevance and have an over-arching applied clinical focus or serve to inform clinical approaches.
The journal publishes papers that show depth, rigour, originality and high quality presentation which inform the evidence base relating to mechanisms of function/dysfunction; treatment methods; best clinical practice; clinical reasoning and decision making processes; assessment and clinical management of musculoskeletal disorders; exploration of relevant clinical interventions; multi modal approaches; psychosocial issues; and service user expectations, experiences and perspectives.
The journal employs a double blind peer review process for all original articles.

Science, also widely referred to as Science Magazine, is the peer-reviewed academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and one of the world’s top academic journals. It was first published in 1880, is currently circulated weekly and has a print subscriber base of around 130,000.
The major focus of the journal is publishing important original scientific research and research reviews, but Science also publishes science-related news, opinions on science policy and other matters of interest to scientists and others who are concerned with the wide implications of science and technology.
